and online via Zoom
Dear friends,
This Friday, November 29, at 19:00 (CET), I’m giving a talk in a Tibetan Cultural Center of Luxembourg, entitled: “What is so special about the Dzogchen teaching?”
Among a wide variety of different teachings spread in Tibet, the Dzogchen teaching always had a special aura. It was highly praised by some masters as an innermost essence of all Buddhist teachings while being rejected and discredited by other masters as not being the Buddha’s teaching at all. The path of Dzogchen is taught as a path of non-gradual, immediate, effortless, natural self-liberation. What is controversial about it? In this talk, we are going to delve into some characteristic aspects of the Dzogchen teaching to have a better idea of what it is all about.
The talk will be streamed via Zoom

November 30, Saturday, a public workshop on presence and awareness.
What are presence and awareness we are going to explore? As a first approximation, presence is a capacity of not being distracted by various factors such as thoughts, emotions, and sensory perceptions, while awareness can be explained as a capacity to know the state of one’s own mind, particularly, being able to notice when it falls into the two extremes of dullness and agitation. Presence and awareness are extremely important not only for any contemplative practice, but also are very useful for everyday life allowing us to more fully use our potential in work, study, or enjoyment as well as to avoid various troubles related to mental unclarity and distraction. In this workshop, we are going to learn some very natural yet highly effective methods for recognizing and balancing the state of one’s mind as well as touch a deeper meaning of presence and awareness such as knowing the nature of mind.
It’s a public event, so everyone can join.3 pm to 7 pmWhere: Centre Culturel Tibétain, 1 Rue Charlotte Engels, 1453 Luxembourg (entrance at the back of the building, through the shared garden)For the registration (only in person, no online) please contact Danielle at daniquintus@gmail.com or join the Telegram group
